Functions of Union Parishad
(1) The main functions of the Council shall be as follows, namely:-
(a) Administration and organizational matters;
(b) maintenance of public order;
(c) services related to public welfare; And
 (d) Formulation and implementation of plans related to local economic and social development.

Functions of Union Parishad
1. Panchshala and various term development plans are prepared.
2. Development, preservation and maintenance of rural infrastructure.
3. In relation to education and primary and mass education activities
4. Implementation of activities related to health, family planning.
5. Taking necessary activities for agriculture, fisheries and livestock and other economic development.
6. Taking necessary activities in epidemic control and disaster management

7. Collection and collection of taxes, fees, tolls, fees etc
8. Resolving family disputes, carrying out necessary activities related to women and children welfare.
9. Taking necessary initiatives and providing support in sports, social improvement and cultural activities.
10. Taking necessary measures for environmental development and conservation.
