Activities of UP

Functions of Union Parishad
(1) The main functions of the Council shall be as follows, namely:-
(a) Administration and organizational matters;
(b) maintenance of public order;
(c) services related to public welfare; And
 (d) Formulation and implementation of plans related to local economic and social development.

Union Parishad Services:
1. Chairman's Certificate
2. Warish Certificate
3. Prottoyon
4. Birth and Death Registration
5. Trade license
6. Family Certificate

Functions of Union Parishad
1. Panchshala and various term development plans are prepared.
2. Development, preservation and maintenance of rural infrastructure.
3. In relation to education and primary and mass education activities
4. Implementation of activities related to health, family planning.
5. Taking necessary activities for agriculture, fisheries and livestock and other economic development.
6. Taking necessary activities in epidemic control and disaster management

7. Collection and collection of taxes, fees, tolls, fees etc
8. Resolving family disputes, carrying out necessary activities related to women and children welfare.
9. Taking necessary initiatives and providing support in sports, social improvement and cultural activities.
10. Taking necessary measures for environmental development and conservation.
11. Fulfilling the responsibilities assigned by the government and taking necessary activities to protect law and order.

12. Registration of Births and Deaths.
13. Protection of public places, open spaces, parks and playgrounds.
14. Lighting lamps on Union Parishad streets and government places.
15. Plantation and conservation and prevention of theft and destruction of trees.
16. Maintenance and operation of cemeteries, crematoriums, public meeting places and other public properties.
17. Prevention of unauthorized access to public roads, highways and public places and stop the origin and its causes in these places.

18. Preventing damage, destruction or destruction of roads and highways.
19. Regulation of criminal and dangerous business.
20. Removal and control of carcasses and control of animal slaughter.
21. Control of new houses, construction and reconstruction of buildings and dangerous buildings in the Union.
22. Management and conservation of wells, pumping stations, reservoirs, ponds and other sources of water supply.
23. Taking necessary measures to deal with fire, flood, hailstorm, earthquake or other natural disasters and providing round-the-clock support to the government.

29. Taking other measures necessary for the safety, comfort or convenience of the residents of the Union.
30. Expanding cooperation with other organizations engaged in similar work like Union Parishad.
31. Distribution of VGD VGF.
32. Duties imposed by the Government from time to time.
